Updates

Mom's count went up to 1070.

The 'Niners are lookin' fair-to-middlin', but they still beat the Raiders in the pre-season (sorry Grandma Betty).

The economy is looking like it's heading for an upswing, starting in the service industries.

I'm on a plane to Florida to help a friend move to CA (I must be insane, 7 cross-country road trips, and I'm not even a trucker), so I'm looking forward to seeing my friends, and Mom has good people around while I'm gone (less than two weeks for any worry-warts out there). ;)

That's the news for now, I'll keep y'all posted with any further updates as I get them.

Hrm...

Mom has been feeling really tired since chemo last Wednesday, and she got a CA-125 done today... she went up to 832. We'll see what happens next.

Improvement

Mom's count went down 130 points! Hooray!

edit: forgot to mention, yes, this is a new drug. =)

Status Update

Mom still tires out really easily, but she's getting out of bed and dressed every day, and doing a few things around the house and in the garden, so she's better than she was a few weeks ago. She had a CA-125 done, she's at 918, so she'll probably be starting this new drug on Tuesday.

Well...

Mom's count went down 30 points. Only problem is, she's felt really bad this whole time... no quality of life. So she'll see if trying another drug may be easier on her, but yet still effective.

Another slow start

So the chemo drug Mom had may be another slow starter. Her count went up about 200 points (this puts her around 773 if my calculations are correct). She felt pretty cruddy the entire time after chemo, but thank goodness she was feeling better for our trip to the cabin this last weekend (Trinity is ALWAYS a blast!).
